Q. What trader has influenced your life the most and why?
A.  The person who brought me to the market is not a trader by profession but a banker on the Oil Desk, Lyndon Desa currently based out of Singapore. My best friend and the person who saw my potential as a speculator. Without him I would not have entered the commodity world.

Eventually I was brushing shoulders with most of the bigwigs in the marketplace from across the world but, Larry Williams the legendary swing trader did became a great influence in developing my thinking over different time periods.

Q. What was one of the hardest things you’ve had to overcome in trading?
A.  Stubbornness in holding positions that have gone against me.

Q. How has your trading process evolved over the years?
A.  Certainly, have got more disciplined with clarity of longer term thinking and positioning.

Q. What is one attribute that you believe every trader should have?
A.  Conviction

Q. Favorite Book About Trading?
A.  Actually, there are 3:

        1. How to make profits in commodities by W.D. Gann

        2. False Economy by Alan Beattie

        3. More money than God by Sebastian Mallaby – just the reading the title in my library inspires me.

Q. If you could pick one profession other than trading what would it be?
A.    My mind is greatly influenced with the Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda and have immense knowledge of all religions of the world. So, possibly would be a religious philosopher.

Q. What’s the best advice you’ve received about Trading?
A.   There are times of confusion when doing nothing in the markets is a decision by itself.

Q. If you could give the younger you advice after everything you’ve learned about trading and the markets, what would it be?
A.   Markets are the best place to achieve your dreams and aspirations. Do proper research and speculate wisely.

Q. If you had to elevator pitch me your edge in trading what would it be?
A. My intensive as well as extensive research is my edge

Q. What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not working?
A.  watching foreign and regional movies and am a voracious reader on religions.
