Q. What trader has influenced your life the most and why?
A. Don Wilson
Q. What was one of the hardest things you’ve had to overcome in trading?
A. Disorientation caused by losses and destabilization caused by profits are very real phenomena. It takes some time and experience to get comfortable being uncomfortable, and maturity to control the highs.
Q. How has your trading process evolved over the years?
A. My trading process remains the same, which is to say: Observe, Orientate, Decide and Act.
Q. What is one attribute that you believe every trader should have?
A. Discipline.
Q. Favorite Book About Trading?
A. Fooled by Randomness.
Q. Favorite Movie or TV Show About Trading?
A. Trading Places.
Q. What’s the best advice you’ve received about Trading?
A. Markets are Maximally Perverse.
Q. If you could give the younger you advice after everything you’ve learned about trading and the markets, what would it be?
A. That hunch you had to disengage and go hike the Annapurna’s after making your first $1M, was correct.
Q. If you had to elevator pitch me your edge in trading what would it be?
A. I identify and get long the things that are going up, and short the things that are going down. Unit sizing varies, with the biggest bets on the best trades at the right time.
Q. What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not trading?
A. Playing hockey
